We made the mistake of ordering a 2010 HHR... Sept. 28th.2009...because of the lack of inventory following the restructure..
We were told we might see one on our local lot of choice around early Nov.
Middle of November still no inventory...checked our order...not even slated to be built till Dec. 6th..2009...
Dec. 15th ..check with the dealer looking for our HHR...told production bumped till Jan. 7th..2010...
E-mailed G.M. Canada...to complain...got a phone call...replained the situation...
I like my Dealer...like my salesman....but a 4 month wait...did not make me happy...was ask what it would take to make me happy...
I don't work for or have a relative who works for any of the auto companys..so i asked for the employee discount.
Was told he would check into request...
Dec. 23...still no answer...from G.M. Canada and the person who would make that decision..is now on Christmas vacation..
back Jan. 4th or 5th..2010....
Jan. 11 th ...Called G.M. Canada...what is happening...with discount...still no decision.
Jan. 15th ...called the dealer...WHERE IS MY HHR....
Told...it was built..Jan 7th...on a rail car being shipped from Mexico...should be here...the end of Jan...first wek of Feb..2010.
This is a cash purchase...we currently lease a G.M. product...the lease expired Oct. 15th 2009..
We have extended the lease 4 times and made over $1200.00 in extra lease payments...
so far it has taken 4 months for G.M. to build my HHR...and over 1 month for them to make a decision...on any kind of rebate..or discount.
It took us..5 minutes to get the car loan from our Bank.
THIS IS THE KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE NEW G.M.
