I received an official looking letter from parking eye telling me that I had over stayed at a motorway service station for 6 hours! they were charging me £60 with a threat of £90 if I did not pay within seven days and then £120 after that and then take me to court if i still didn't pay. they said they had a photograph of my registration plate on my car.
Do not pay these peole anything if they send you a fine, they cannot prove when you left the car park. They had a picture of my car going in and no picture of it leaving, meaning if you visit the same car park twice in one day they only register your number plate once not the two times that you actually visited.
My advice is to do the same as me, I rang them and told them they had to prove to me that my car never left the service station after my first visit which they couldn't do.
It resulted in them dismissing the ticket, which is actually an invoice and not legally binding, and would be thrown out of court if ever they took it that far which they wouldn't.
You can contact parking eye on 01772885800 I had to search for this number as they only like to be contacted by e mail and seem confused when they answer the phone that someone has actually rang them.
Ring them and fight for you right to be able to park in a car park twice in one day while staying within the time allocated.
