I have made my BBB report# 98450789 to try to get this issued solved but so far Direct TV's response doesn't look like they will fix the problem so I need to take this further because I don't like being treated unfairly especially when conversations are recorded. So here is the issue, I ordered the premier package 9/11 that comes with the NFL Sunday Ticket, 5 months free of all their channels and a DVR. But what I got on 9/15 was everything but the DVR, the DVR was the 2nd most thing I wanted from Direct TV with the NFL package so as the installation guy was installing the equipment 9/15 I asked him to put something on record so I can see how everything works and he looks at me and tells me that I do not have a DVR, I have a standard reciever. I immediately get on the phone to call Direct TV 9/15 and ask what happened to my DVR, I get to a Supervisor and they say there is nothing I can do, the order is final, my order didn't come with a DVR and to fix my order for the Sales rep mistake on the order, I will need to provide a debit card so they can charge me 176.09 to get the right equipment out to me. Now here's the problem, I originally ordered a DVR that was gonna come free because the rep checked my credit and made sure it would come free so I don't know how the Sales rep got the order wrong and put in a standard reciever. Direct TV's response to the BBB report is that my order wasn't set up with a standard reciever and I will need to provide my debit card to get a DVR. But I don't understand why they can't go over my 9/11 conversation with there Sales rep and see that I clearly ordered and clearly wanted that DVR and the Sales rep clearly messed up the order which I really have no clue how he did that, with the many questions I asked him on 9/11 about the DVR. And Direct TV keeps saying well we sent you an email of the order and a letter but guess what, I never got an email, they can go through their records for that and the letter came a day after the installation was done. So I didn't know my order was messed up until the installation guy got to my house and so I want my DVR like I ordered, Direct TV records the conversations so why not go over it and listen to it so I can get the DVR without paying a ridiculous amount of money, that was my whole purpose to getting the DVR for free with the package so I need information on how to prusue this legally because I'm serious and I can't lie, all they have to do is listen to the recording, it ain't hard and I want my DVR for free like I ordered 9/11. When it's the Companies fault that an order gets put in wrong, the company should fix the problem not the consumer. I want to remain a Direct TV customer, I just got the wrong equipment because the Sale's rep at Direct TV put in the wrong order, to confrim that I ain't lieing all Direct TV has to do is go over the conversation made for the order on 9/11. Again I ordered a DVR and got a standard reciever, why did the rep mess this order up, I do not know but Direct TV could find out if they would just go over the recorded conversation made 9/11/09.
